SKADE have secured the last spot in the FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier from Europe after taking down Spirit in the closed qualifier’s consolidation final.

The European closed qualifier saw 32 teams battle it out in a gruelling double-elimination bracket, featuring invited and qualified sides, for two spots in the FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier. After four days of intense matchups, the two teams advancing to the next stage have been determined.

After falling to AVEZ in the upper bracket final yesterday for the first spot in the Global Qualifier, SKADE had one last shot at redemption in the consolidation final, where they faced a Spirit side who had fought their way through the latter stages of the lower bracket.

The consolidation final kicked off with SKADE picking up the first map, Overpass, in a comfortable 16-10 fashion, with Ivan "Rock1nG" Stratiev boasting an impressive 1.64 rating to secure the opening map for the Bulgarians.

Nuke, Spirit's map pick, proved to be a much closer affair with the map going a full 30 rounds, but SKADE were able to narrowly edge out Russian squad despite Artem "iDISBALANCE" Egorov providing Spirit with a lifeline in the final few rounds with numerous multi-kills.

With SKADE's spot in the FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier secured, the team list looks as follows:

The $100,000 Global Qualifier will take place from March 3-5, where the teams will battle it out for two spots in FLASHPOINT Season 1, although it is unclear at this point if any further slots will be available in the Global Qualifier.
